Is there another team that tries to buy RB's on the cheap like NE?

I'm content, I honestly didn't expect the law firm back in NE this year. They invest 2 2nd rd picks on RBs for a reason. Ridley will fill in well in short yardage situations, I'd say it's a bit premature to say he has fumbling problems. As for Vereen, I'm really excited about him, he could give the Pats the first home run threat in the backfield since Dillon. So I say give the two young guys a chance to shine, and if they can't cut it.... well it's not like the Pats offense is even remotely predicated on the running game.

The Pats are like the Packers when it comes to running backs. They know there any number of guys every year that can get the job done in the system around them.
I doubt BB is losing any sleep over that position.

No need to blow a first round pick on a running back when there are many to be had in the later rounds who can be just as effective.

Pats have a lot of Options!!!

The ball security was amazing and he never seemed to get negative yardage. On the other hand, he was never a threat to break open a run of 15 or more. The Bengals overpaid for him. Ridley is not the answer, tho.

the Pats are one of the best pass first teams in a definite passing league. The teams that generally have the best running games do so because their pass attack leaves much to be desired. One exception is Houston provided it can keep the QB healthy. Belichick punishes rookies when they mess up, ergo Ridley eating some bench. Unless the kid has no smarts, he'll learn from the experience and the Pats will continue to shine. Keep Brady upright, that's all.
