08:07 AM ET 04.06 | On a day Stan Van Gundy dropped a whopper of an accusation, its target went quiet. [Van Gundy] said Thursday night that he expects to finish the season as the Orlando Magic's head coach and that he, Dwight Howard and General Manager Otis Smith met after Van Gundy claimed Howard asked for him to be fired earlier in the day. "Look, we've been together all year this year," Van Gundy said. "We've been together for five years. So we know each other very well, and Dwight will go out and play, and I'll coach, and that's the understanding. We know that." ... Howard would not discuss the meeting with Van Gundy and Smith or about his relationship with the coach. "I don't want to talk about it," Howard said.

It's time for Howard to shut his mouth for the next year.

QUOTE(#3):

If as Stan says he knew about this all year, why put this in the media 11 games before the playoffs?Who in leadership told Stan about Dwight's private conversations? There's a lot of mistakes happening on multiple levels of this franchise.

Yeah this crap storm will not help anyone and multiple careers hang in the balance on this one.

Ottie, Fatso and Suppie all deserve on another, they're all losers. Fatso lose everywhere he goes and can't get along with any of his once in a generation superstars. Suppie is a confused player that lacks a champion's will to win or better his game, its no wonder why he elected to stay with the Magic, they'll never win a ring with this mgmt team. Ottie is given way too much credit for a finals appearence, people kindly forget that defending champion C's lost a stellar Garnett in the midst of finals years of 08 & 10 and in 09 still took the Magic to 7. Guess we can all imagine what would have happen had Garnett been healthy, nope I guess I don't. Ottie is a GM that lacks, trust me.

Just yesterday someone suggested that Fatso come to New York.......I don't think so, we don't need that loser. He's not his brother whom we'd gladly take back!

I don't think this is going to end well for SVG, but he's probably had enough of this soap opera anyways.

Dwight may be a physical talent but his 2 cent head will keep him from being much more than that. Dude can't hit a free throw, quits on his team last night and he wasn't smart enough to wait until after the season to get rid of his coach. Let's face it, Dwight will be nothing more than a physical talent in this league. Thank God my Lakers didn't trade Drew and Pau for this head case.

Yeah because Drew is not a head case.

Bynum is acting up because he knows the offense should be run through him. Seen it happen between Kobe and Shaq not too long ago. Wish he would handle it better but I haven't seen the kid quit. Dwight showed what a real chump he is when he tanked the game last night. How's it feel to watch your alleged superstar throw last nights game?

I'm so tired of stars and superstars trying to get their way and run the team. I've toatlly lost respect for Howard. Its time for management to send a message to star players, be a team player and play or get somebody who will. Stan has been a great coach for the Magic, it hasn't been Stan that has lost these last five games it is every player on that team. They all get paid great money to play basketball. It is time to shutup and play or go home. Grow up!

QUOTE(#15):

What about Griffin and his forearm on Gasol? Is he a headcase? Or just a dirty player?

And how about the push in the back? Blake another physical talent with no head. The league calls fouls on Kobe, and anybody else for that matter, when he kicks his leg out on a jump shot to draw contact. So how is Blake throwing a forearm on a dunk now a highlight? We got the "W" so it's all good. I'll take rings over highlights any day.

Doesn't make sense to fire Stan, well not atleast until the year is over. Why fire a coach when you know you are going to the playoffs. Now Otis I understand if it happens right now.
