08:35 AM ET 04.07 | Isiah Thomas went to Florida International University to rehab his image as a means to try to get back into the NBA, preferably with the Knicks. But his 26-65 record as a college coach, marginal increase in home attendance (1,100 per game) and subsequent firing yesterday by FIU hasn't yet done the trick. According to sources, James Dolan isn't ready to name Thomas to a formal Knicks position. The Post reported last summer the Knicks owner still maintains a friendship with Thomas but was disappointed his compadre spoke publicly about wanting Donnie Walsh's position and believed he was secretly lobbying with select media members.

I don't understand why Dolan has a hard one for Isiah Thomas. Didn't Thomas run the Knicks into the ground when he ran them? Didn't Isiah sign some of the worst players to some of the worst contracts? Wasn't the Knicks under Isiah's leadership and lost a sexual harassment lawsuit?

Yeah those were good times for the Knicks. Bring him back.
