Is Beckett up to Red Sox scrutiny?

Is he the stopper, ace and franchise cornerstone the Red Sox believed worthy of a $68 million extension in no small part because his work ethic and approach so admirably inspired young pitchers throughout the organization? Or is he the petulant prima donna who chugged beers while the season combusted last September, and then barely accepted responsibility because he was too busy seeking frontier justice on the "clubhouse leaks" who outed him?

Take the time to read the entire poor excuse of an article. Same old same old... John Tomase is a fat tub of goo who pretends to speak for Red Sox Nation when all he's does is engage in mental self-stimulation. Nobody cares, ****-breath, that he didn't bow down and kiss your ring over the winter. Got your wittle feewing hurt because he's trying to smoke out your snitch. Poor baby!
Beckett always has been the classic tall Texan who does his job and then doesn't really care what the naysayers think. For the most part he delivers. Last I checked, he hasn't thrown the first pitch of the season yet. Last I checked, his 2011 ERA was one of the best in the AL.
If Tomase wants some booty kissing, I have a hairy white one he can plant his fat face on. But don't ask me what I really think of him.

Is there really any new information in this article? No. So it's not news - it's conjecture. Is every day a slow news day for the Boston sports media? No. It's just that they lack creativity and the energy to develop and write a legitimate news story. Heaven forbid they do a little research and exert themselves.
