08:16 AM ET 04.10 | Trey Burke nearly left Michigan over the weekend. But the freshman point guard sensation never put both feet out the door, and now, his goal is clear. He intends to fight for a national championship. "I just felt like I could develop more, and me coming back to this team next year, we have a great shot to compete for another Big Ten championship and to compete for a national championship," Burke said hours after announcing his intention to return to Michigan for his sophomore season. "I feel like we have unfinished business." Burke met with reporters Monday afternoon at the William Davidson Player Development Center to discuss his decision not to enter the NBA draft.

He'd have a lot better luck getting a title as an undrafted free agent in the NBA. Absolutely no way he even sniffs a FF

You should have went pro, Mich St and tOSU will eat you up again.

Wow, only a Big 10 title? Most want an NCAA championship. Guess he knows there is no way to beat your Wildrats 0-6!

So, you are conceding the B1G title already.

Sure......I'm not a tOSU or Sparty fan

Actaully, TSUN must be a terrible team,....hell, even Arkansas beat them last year.

Kid will be lucky to get to the NIT

Don't forget about the Hoosiers. They're going to be tough match-up for anyone.

In other words, he wouldn't have been a high draft pick.

Unfortunately for him, he won't have his buddy Jared Sullinger around to win him another regular season title!

Burke beat Michigan State and Ohio State and Indiana last year...and MSU and OSU have who coming back next year? NOBODYYYYY... Michigan will be the best team in the big ten and compete for a national championship... UK fans cannot even name their starting five next year... and whatever SEC title they win won't count in a year anyway...

Burke didn't beat Arkansas, and Arky finished 7th in the conference.......don't get too excited, newbie.

Besides, Kentucky's starting 5 will be Burke X 5 in talent, regardless of what their names are.

Kinda ironic hearing a Meatchicken basketball fan talk about other programs cheating.....hello, pot, this is kettle calling

Michigan has an amazing recruiting class coming in to add to an already great team. The rich get richer.
