Do the Pens lack fire?

Maybe the Pens should try playing from an 0-3 deficit in game 2.

This is just getting worse, so really obvious I am not a Pens fan but really??

If they were to be screaming and yelling the media would say they lost it and dont have composure a winning team needs, but now since they are handling it the smart way as recent a Stanley Cup winner would know, its ONE game, what is there to panic about unless its a best of 3???

I am kind of surprised he thinks the Flyers would have to pull out some trick to try and beat them, wonder if he think they are just that good, or the Flyers are that bad...

Why is this such 'big' news that the Pens lost. I think too many people underestimate the Flyers.

The Flyers have lost once in 7 matchups at CEC since it opened. Nobody who took the Pens to win the Cup thought they'd have a tougher series this playoffs than their opening one.

and I think there was maybe a bit of hubris too. Let's face it, a lot of folks thought Pittsburgh was the team to beat. They came in hot. I also agree that they may have underestimated Philly. But it indeed, only game one

I'll say this, Pittsburgh came in "hot" because they were playing teams that were not playing for anything. They also gave up 18 goals in 3 games, 2 to the Islanders and one to Ottawa.

That defense is pretty suspect, and has been for a while.

This is going at least 6 games, game 1 just showed if you have your foot on someones throat, step down.

Well said. They're handling it like a team that's been there before, largely because they've been there before. Drop the puck already.

The Pens played Philly twice, Boston, and the Rangers all in the last 2 weeks of the season.

They went 1-1 against Philly, played Boston when they didn't care and the Rangers weren't playing for much either.
