07:48 AM ET 04.14 | Tigers slugger Miguel Cabrera suspected in the first inning Friday that the batter's box wasn't aligned correctly, and he was right. The box was found to be too far forward, requiring the grounds crew to wipe it out and rechalk it with the template brought in from center field. "(Cabrera) wasn't comfortable, and the umpires acknowledged that," Sox catcher A.J. Pierzynski said. "It looked like they were a little pushed up, but there have been places where we talk about it on the bench, that the box doesn't feel right. "So next time it's like that ??? we're going to stop the game and redo the boxes for us."

Makes to much sense to actually show a photo of the batters box instead of a player.

What? Guess he didn't want to wait until the 3rd or 4th inning when those "lines"are usually effectively buried by hitters digging in?

Re-chalking that batter's box did not help the Tigers win. The Sox don't cheat like that, they probably just use a lot of PEDs. Get over it.

The very first batter of the game can kick the lines out. That kind of thing happens all the time. The ump wouldn't have stopped Cabrera if he dug in or kicked some dirt around.

The White Sox have signed him to start at 3B instead of Morel from now on.
