A defiant Isiah Thomas said he has no plans to ask Knicks owner James Dolan for a leave of absence from the bench to focus on the team presidency, saying he will "fix this and make it right" from the coach's seat. Dolan has no immediate plans to ask Thomas to move upstairs either.

Sorry Isiah, but only Dolan can "fix this"... by firing YOU!

January 8, 2008  08:30 AM ET

So, basically, he isn't getting fired, which means that he feels compelled to everyone that he is going to do what he is getting paid to do? I still have the same question I have always had. If he is so sure about this, and he makes it sound as if he knows what to do, why hasn't he come anywhere close to doing it yet?

The nightmare never ends.

January 8, 2008  08:57 AM ET

If he can 'fix' this, then why hasn't he done it yet? I don't see how considering he's the one that broke it in the first place while trying to 'fix' it.

Lets all be positive...Isiah is just misunderstood and really, he has been orchestrating this grand elaborate plan for the Knicks to slack off and act idiotic, clueless and inept at the beginning of the season and then to go 39 - 2 from Feb 1 to the end of the season, sweep the playoffs and embarrass the Spurs in the Finals...Yes, you all just wait, this is much bigger than any of us can imagine...That hardest part of the whole deal was to make Eddy Curry bloat up his chiseled body to deceive opponents and get Stephon to act like a loser for all this time....

January 8, 2008  09:32 AM ET

Isiah and fixing this is an oxymoron. The only way he can fix this is by resigning.

If anyone should be fixed it should be Isiah! I'll check with my vet and see if they can fit him in!

Even my patients is wearing thin. I really liked several of the moves Isiah made. However, the moves need to work. So no one can defend the Knicks or Isiah at this point.

I am not sure this is a story. What do we expect Isiah to say. Again, my patients is also wearing thin. The moves have not worked.

Kill me if you like but compare this:

Fix what?

I thought you were going to win it all with this team.

What gives, Isaih?

January 8, 2008  10:26 AM ET

He's going to fix this.... is that what he wants us to believe? He can tell that to the back of my head because I'm done listening to his excuses and false promises.

Not sure if that is good or bad. This time of year I am very busy the next 8 week are out of control for me.

I will admit the knicks are in trouble, but I believe there is talent!

January 8, 2008  10:45 AM ET

I thought I would never say this, but I feel sorry for the NY Knicks fans.

January 8, 2008  10:46 AM ET

There is talent, Isiah should not be the one to fix this. We have to wait the two years until some of those contracts come off the books.

I will check my own Basketball IQ,

But I stand by the knicks having talent

We need to lose the marbury contract, but that is easier said then done.
