10:15 AM ET 04.14 | Kobe Bryant, his injured left shin improving daily, walked into Staples Center on Friday without the protective boot he had been wearing but that's the extent of his activity. The Lakers star sat out his fourth consecutive game because and could miss more if his shin doesn't show more improvement quickly. According to Lakers spokesman John Black, Bryant can walk without pain but has not tried running or jumping. There isn't any timetable for him to bump up his activity level and he will have sat out a week's worth of games after Friday's contest against the Nuggets. Bryant could easily sit out the Lakers' final six games and return for the playoffs.

Don't be fooled my friend. He's not hurting, he wants to drop to the seventh seed to take the Spurs out in the first round. Don't tell JK please.

Besides, we've won three of the four games he's sat out.

Rest Kobe...Rest!!!

This is the result of playing him too much instead of resting him in some nights or cutting down his minutes. The good thing about these rest for Kobe is that he is seeing what his supporting cast can do when he is out. He is finding out that he has a dominating frontline. Only he knew this at the beginning of the season or even in the middle of the season.... ooops I forgot, it's all about the scoring title...lol

Stop it! I agree that it's a good thing he's able to see what they can do and hopefully will trust and rely on them when he returns. Not that it's a good thing he has to sit out at all but the timing is perfect as he gets to observe and heal right before the playoffs.

On the other hand, the way we're playing without him, maybe he should sit out the playoffs.

This injury is a blessing. Kobe will start the playoffs fresh and invigorate. I would not mind seeing him missing few more games. Lakers is playing great ball in his absence and building confidence for the playoff run.
