Eagles eyeing QB in draft?

09:14 AM ET 04.15 | A buzz is building in NFL front offices that the Eagles are going to take a quarterback fairly high. If they don't make a move for Ryan Tannehill in round one, the Eagles could wait until the second round and go after Kirk Cousins or Brandon Weeden. Such a move could indicate the Eagles have concerns about Michael Vick's ability to stay healthy and how he fits in Andy Reid's offense.

Vick played well when he was healthy. I'd say let Tannenhill go. He doesn't have much experience as a starter. Take Brandon Weeden in the second round or later. He's older, more mature. He's going to need that maturity in a pressure cooker like Philly.

I guess Reid was serious when he told VY he was way too good to be a backup for the Iggles...

Andy Reid always like to have a developmental QB on the roster. Nothing new.
After what teams have traded for guys like AJ Feeley and Kevin Kolb, he'd be dumb not to.

Thanks. The more I think about the whole mess, the angrier I get. I hope Luck pans out, but with all the players that are now gone, it's gonna be a mess in Indy for a few years before they're back on track.

FN should have a religious section and stick these stories in that category.

I feel for you. Is it a requirement that as an NFL owner you must get stuck on stupid?

Just a year ago they gave Vick a long term contract to be the guy. Ah well.

I'm sure Jim Irsay could speak at length on the subject. He might be willing to invite Daniel Snyder and Jerry Jones over for a lengthy conversation on the topic.

"....Michael Vick's ability to stay healthy and how he fits in Andy Reid's offense....."
Shouldn't that have been a consideration before they gave him starting qB money and contract?

And then VY broke down and had a good cry. John Boehner and Vince Young should start a new club for men " Teary eyed boys club".

It should have been. But Reid is busy running a rehab half way house for convicted felons. One thing for certain the NFC East will be wide open and any team in the East could win it.

Well we know that Snyder and Jones are buddy/buddy when it comes to discussing ways to cheat the salary cap.

His history of making a franchise type QB is not very good. McNabb is the best of his pupils, the rest have been absolute duds.
One thing we do know, if he drafts a qB in any round, he will tout him as good enough to start for any other team by the third practice.

I think every team should select a QB in every draft until there aren't anymore to pick. Never know when you'll find that 1 guy.

I used to think he was a good owner (even though I hated his father) until I followed him on twitter. That lasted about a month. I realized he likes to be in the spotlight and listen to himself. I know he's a former alcoholic and his father was an alcoholic but sometimes I swear he's back on the sauce (even though I'm sure he isn't). Seems he's overcompansated from one addiction to another (running of his mouth). As much as you don't like him or hate Peyton is gone, remember this. It's not 1/10th of what it felt like when drunk daddy took the team from Baltimore. The pain is as fresh today as it was then. Everytime I see a Mayflower van? Middle finger baby.
