08:15 AM ET 04.16 | Nearly 80,000 watched as an assembly line churned. The Alabama assembly line that has been cranking out running backs who compete for Heisman Trophies and draw first-round attention in NFL drafts unveiled a new high-performance model Saturday. The name is T.J. Yeldon. He appears to run on eight cylinders, but it looks as if he might get very good mileage. The 6-foot-2, 216-pound early enrollee from Daphne High School was the runaway star of Alabama's A-Day game in front of a crowd of 78,526 at Bryant-Denny Stadium. Yeldon ran 16 times for a game-high 88 yards and caught five passes for a game-high 91 yards and one touchdown, a tackling-breaking 50-yarder. He won the Dixie Howell Most Valuable Player of the Game Award.

Adrian Hubbard on the defensive side had a monster game. Mother Hubbard has a son who can play some ball.

Slow down there DP. No one said that there were others that caught passes!
Actually QB will be a strong point this year. I expect the offense to be pretty darn good this year and if the defense gels well look out.

Be careful though. If they are perceived as a "chunk it around the field" team they'll be considered a "red headed stepchild SEC team" like Arky. Or worse yet, considered a 12PAC or Big 12 team!

We believe in a balanced attack. 215 ypg passing last year, 214 ypg rushing last year.
Worked pretty good, don't it.

Alabama, one of the lowest in education, one of the highest in obesity rates. But they have a good football team. They sure have their priorities in order.

What they don't tell you was the Defense was told not to hit him ,we don't want him to get hurt.

Will work great up until you play a team with a good enough offense to where you fall behind by two scores in a game. Its a very long shot, but if DR/tSUN gets off to a very fast start it would be interesting to see how the Tide would respond. The last time I can recall that was the Utah game and Saban looked lost from the 2nd quarter onwards.
