08:01 AM ET 04.16 | In Denver, class is in session. Welcome, Broncos offensive coaches, to a new era of boss-man humility. Peyton Manning will lead the Broncos into conditioning workouts and meetings [Monday] for the first time since the only four-time MVP in NFL history was signed to be their new starting quarterback. And no one inside the team's Dove Valley headquarters may have to make a bigger adjustment than offensive coordinator Mike McCoy and quarterbacks coach Adam Gase. Smart as they are, there may not be many scenarios where the coaches are telling the smartest kid in class what to do. ... [It's Manning] who is likely to be guiding McCoy, Gase and the Broncos' offensive players on the subtleties of the no-huddle, hurry-up offense.

Talk about stating the obvious......

As if this wasn't determined prior to signing him.

Yeah, Manning has it all under control. I'll be surprised if any of the offensive coaches even show up.

Does anyone actually read The Denver Post sports section? Based on the threads here that are attributed to them my bird would be offended if he had to crap on that rag.

He should move into Elway's office too!

Peyton, the one man football team

If John Fox was smart, he and the rest of the coaches should just stand back and watch. Maybe look like they are doing something at some time, but just let Peyton run the offense.

Me thinks he can handle it

usually the backup qb holds the clipboard, not the coaches and front office.

April 16, 2012  09:41 AM ET

Them there coaches now are just clipboard jockeys that record the plays PM calls, save some money and lay them off.

John Fox is the worst offensive HC in the game anyway..this will benefit the horses

It makes sense. Peyton would be a better GM than Elway.

Tebow excelled despite Fox's poor offensive knowledge.
