Crosby doesn't like a single Flyer

08:22 AM ET 04.16 | Sidney Crosby is frustrated -- and no wonder as the Penguins' collapse continued over the weekend. So frustrated that he went out of his way to antagonize winger Jakub Voracek. ... When Crosby, 24, was asked whether the move was caused by frustration, his quiet voice filled with anger. "I don't like any guy on their team," he said. "His glove was near me and he went to pick it up, so I pushed it. I don't like him." Any particular reason? "Because I don't like him. I don't like any guy on their team," he replied. Told of Crosby's sentiments, Voracek -- whose overtime goal in Game 1 turned around the series -- smiled. ... "Obviously, they are riled. He doesn't like me, and I don't like him, either."

Today's the "big day" for the suspension rulings after that abysmal showing by the Penguins yesterday. there's a good chance that 3 guys are going to be gone for Pittsburgh today for the rest of the series, they were out of control and playing way over the edge, or as the rest of the NHL would say, like they do every Sunday.

This is nothing new, they feel "entitled" and have gotten away with an awful lot over the last couple of years, and I think now it finally all catches up to them.

What they did yesterday was an insult to the game of hockey, from Crosby's punk behavior when one of the Flyers was leaning over to pick up the puck, to Neal making run after run at player's heads, to the 3rd man in when Crosby went after Hartnell to protect Crosby from a fight he was starting with about 6 or 7 suckerpunches to the back of Hartnell's head by Adams, to the cross-check to the throat after Couterier made a clean hit and then punched him in the back of the head by Asham.

It was disgusting and is not hockey. This coming from the team with the owner that was whining about violence in hockey last year after a game against the Islanders. Is Mario willing to look in the mirror and realize his team is the worst with dirty play in the NHL? Of course not.

Oh, and on the NHL network, they were trying to "defend" Crosby by bringing up his age and he's still young.

You would never see a player like Patrice Bergeron, or other class acts who are young do that sort of stuff on the ice.

Sorry guys, Crosby get's no free passes on this.

Spot on Schad

Was at the game so I didn't here NBC. Pittsburgh ought to be ashamed. I heard on the radio that even the Pittsurgh newspapes were hammering the Pens conduct.

The only 4 people in the building who did not see Neal cheap shot Couterier were wearing stripes. Lemiex was said to be shaking his head outside the locker room in the third period

Oh my, what'd you do?

hahahahahahaha. Way to go Sid! You are the Prince of the NHL. Instead of dropping the gloves, you just hung in the shadows looking to hit someone in the back of the head or pushing a players glove away.

The best thing that could happen to James Neal is suspension for rest of the series. For the simple fact that he will not make it out of another hockey game against the Flyers.

I saw a lot of rough play out of both teams. I did not see one Flyer going after any of the Penguins heads. Even on the fragile boy wonder. They tried to fight him straight up but "suspiciously" he wouldn't drop the gloves.

and Adams threw some nice punches to the back of Hartnell's head while he was engaged with another player (Crosby?)

h'mmm...could it be that Laviolette and Torterella may have had, you know, a point?

Crosby grabbed Hartnell, then Crosby started a bit of a tussle and that's when Adams came flying over with the suckerpunches.

None whatsoever. And he let his teammates take the fall for him.Cherry was right. The kid's gutless. And to add to your list of youngsters who are better than that, Toews? Stammer? Hell, Ovechkin?! The Pens went from model, blueprint franchise to the scum of the league in a matter of weeks. I've never seen anything like it before.

interest fallout will be coming, for sure

April 16, 2012  09:05 AM ET

I have noticed that the Pens target the best players on the team they are facing. they better be thankful that no one has done it to them.

Everybody knows this is who Crosby is. The problem is that the guy is supremely talented and the league wants to market him. So they will defend him and ask the referees to look the other way and ask the refs to protect him.

Cindy better keep his head up on Wednesday.
