08:11 AM ET 04.17 | Just how different might basketball look in 2012-13 in the desert? Portland Trail Blazers guard Jamal Crawford will be courted intensely by the Phoenix Suns, a source within the organization tells CSNNW.com. "Aside from Steve (Nash), he's (Crawford) high if not the top free agent priority on their list," the source said. "He would fill a need at the two-guard position and he knows they want him." [On Monday] against the Suns, Crawford looked like the scoring threat that the NBA has grown to know exploding for 22 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assist off the bench after sitting out last night's game against the Sacramento Kings. Crawford has a player option for next year and is expected to opt out.

Really?

Why not? Go from a team with no chance of winning to a team with no chance of winning...

The suns need to focus on rebuilding cause they are not going anywhere anytime soon.

Borderline starter in his prime? Check
Way past his prime? Check
Soon to be overpayed by the Suns as a core piece? to be determined

Seems the Suns will do anything to push the boundaries of Nash's loyalty to the team

Well if you have to chase someone...maybe its not worth it....oh snap i forgot...its the SUNS we are talking about...my bad

April 17, 2012  11:20 AM ET

At this rate the next thing they'll do to try to keep Nash is bring D'Antoni back....

He's nearing the end of his career. He can chase a championship by going to a strong team (if a strong team will have him).....or he can chase the $$$$ by going to whoever is desperate enough to pay him.

I see more desperate teams willing to pay him than strong teams willing to carry him......so at this point, he needs to chase the $$$$.

What else is new? The Suns have 'chased' this type of player for years. This team hasn't had a center since Alvin Adams. When are they going to chase a man in the middle to shut down that expressway to their basket.

The Suns are setting.

There's not enough centers in the league... the one's that are available are beyond their price range...
