Tulowitzki a victim of the yips?

08:11 AM ET 04.18 | Troy Tulowitzki is batting under .250 these days, but there may be greater concern for him on the field. [Tulowitzki] is sure-handed and has a cannon. But he's in an absolute funk defensively right now. After an errant throw to first base early in the game and then later a ball went right through his legs. He now has six errors this season, and it's only the 11th game. Last season, in 140 games, Tulowitzki only committed six errors. ... We're still real early in the season and odds are this slows down very soon. Still, it's possible for these things to become mental -- and the second error Tuesday suggests it already has become mental for Tulowitzki. Hopefully he gets it fixed before Knoblauchitis sets in.

Poor Chuck will never live those errors down.

The YIPS are real -- ask Bernard Langer. Tulo -- you're a great guy (by all accounts) and a great player. Go get counseling NOW, now later, while this issue can still be addressed!

His fielding wasn't all that great last year either.

Define "great." Dude had 6 errors and won the Gold Glove going away...what more does he need to do to be "great?"

Good guy? To whom? I recall the exact opposite. He was a selfish lout who publicly blamed Bernie Williams for the fact that he fell 2 hits shy of 200 in 1991 - as though his other 450+ outs were not his doing. He spent more time making his case indirectly to the official scorer to reverse errors than accepting any responsibility.

Tulo needs to workout with Tebow's throwing coach.

The Detroit Lions tried to draft him at one point, I bet you didn't know that. :)
