08:06 AM ET 04.19 | A list of the NBA's elite teams -- Oklahoma City, Chicago, Miami, the Los Angeles Lakers, Dallas -- has something else in common. It's also the rundown of quality opponents defeated this season by the Indiana Pacers, the NBA's hottest team with a six-game winning streak going into [Thursday's] home game against Milwaukee. Ask who the hottest team in the league is and you'd probably guess one of the teams on that list. Despite owning the NBA's fifth-best record (40-22), the Pacers are the team few people seem to talk about. ... Indiana has already surpassed its win total for each of the past five seasons despite a schedule with 16 fewer games. "We're the league's best secret," center Roy Hibbert said.

Pacers might surprise .................

Might just get into the Second round of the tournament...

Are you talking about this same Pacers team who just lost a set to my Knicks? You mean these very promising Pacers?.....Second round.....really? Well I hope so, because using this logic I'm elated, the Knicks will certainly be in the second round too. I can't say how surprised I am about the play of one Melo and the Knicks.....interesting. Let's go Pacers, you're the hottest!

I will say no team will want to meet them in the first round. I think their series will be fun to watch.

Yes they Are...... If the seeding goes their way, they'll be in the second round for sure.... but it will be a stretch for them to go any farther.....

I am not a believer of this team but they can make me a believer by handling their business in the first round and upsetting Miami. I got Miami in the Finals but with Wonder Wade leading the show, i just can't trust Miami. It would not surprise me if Indy beat them and it wouldn't speak to how good the Pacers are (because they'd just lose in the Con.Finals to the Celtics or Bulls) but rather how inconsistent the Heat are.

The Pacers have one thing that seems to always plague the Heat and that's depth. At the beginning of the season, everyone thought Miami's bench was gold but like i told Spurs fans last year ... "you can't count on unproven players during playoff time". It's just not how the NBA works. Most of Miami's bench won't even be in the playoff rotation.

But back to Indiana. They've benefited from a weak schedule as of late. Not sure if they can consistently bang with a heavy weight for 7 straight games. I'm not going to give a prediction on how far they'll go until the regular season is over but i will say, they don't scare a damn soul.

Pacers have been more consistent this year than your UNDERACHIEVING KNICKS!!!!!! I wouldn't be surprised if they actually made it to the second round.....

Pacers are deep in the frontline and backcourt. They will give any team in the east problems come playoff time
