08:04 AM ET 04.20 | As the draft nears, and scouts get to fill notebooks with their take on prospects, at least one or two were bound to find something negative to say about Robert Griffin III. "Everybody is just assuming because of the Heisman and the socks ... they are ignoring a lot of bad tape that he's had," a third scout said. "I don't think he has vision or pocket feel, which to me are the two most important components of quarterbacking." ... [Said a fourth scout]: "This guy, the only way he gets big plays with his feet is if he's got a wide-open field and the sea opens for him. He's got a little bit of a selfish streak, too. Everybody was laying on Cam, but for some reason this guy has become gloves off. He doesn't treat anybody good."

I wonder if these scouts would be saying the same thing if their own team was lined up to select him.

Doesn't matter what the scouts think. Mr. Snyder has deemed him to be his pick.
So let it be written. So let it be done.

These are the same scouts who laud the exploits and value of people like JaMarcus Russell, Matt Leinhart, Ryan Leaf, etc. etc.

Matters not. He is the second best bet in this draft. He can thank Barkley for that.

More than likely these experts will be right or the other experts who think the exact opposite will be right.

Everytime I've heard this kid I don't get the selfish vibe from him, more of a confident one. Arrogant a little? Maybe, but this is the position you want a confident, slightly arrogant guy. The QB has to be a leader of men, and the best at that usually are kinda arrogant.

This reminds me of poltical reporters with an agenda who come up with stuff like "Candidate X got in trouble for blowing bubbles into his milk through a straw in first grade."

Why should other teams care? The only 2 teams in the hunt for Luck or RG3 are Indy and Washington. If either of them gets drafted and becomes a bust why should they care?

Agreed. He seems more of a Cam Newton character. High level of confidence in what he brings to the team. With Newton's success last year, RG3 has his work cut out for him, especially with the Skins.
