08:27 AM ET 04.20 | Well, now this might serve as a hu-mahn-gus storyline for Ilya Bryzgalov, who sets up to be a series hero or goat. Even after getting pulled in Game 4, Bryzgalov will be one or the other on Friday night. NBC10's Howard Eskin reported on Thursday that Bryzgalov suffered a hip injury in Game 4 and will be a game-time decision in Pittsburgh. Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren rebuffed the report, saying it had "no truth." Bryzgalov practiced for a little more than 10 minutes on Thursday before leaving the ice, something not out of the ordinary. He was unavailable to the media post-practice. The Flyers say they feel no different about Bryzgalov than they did on Monday.

A bit of both.

If he wins his next start it's a false report. If he gets lit up again, it's a hip injury. Interesting game tonight.

He did look slow going from left to right but that definitely wasn't the reason we were smoked, the way I see it, if he starts the report is false.

I know, he was painfully slow from pipe to pipe, no pun intended. It could just be psycological warfare or Eskin being Eskin.

That might explain why he looked so lethargic in the crease when he had to make a lateral move.

By that logic, he was injured for the majority of the season. It makes sense now that he was having hip issues to do his lack of mobility. Unfortunately Bobs didn't fare much better.

I dont know why he would point that out to a team that seems to be the best in the league in stretching goaltenders from east to west, maybe its a trap...

Howie was misquoted. He said "dip" injury.

Eskin isn't brightest color on the rainbow. Flyers need to get back to their bread and butter. Forecheck and backcheck. I hear JVR may be back soon, hopefully taking Rinaldo's spot. Have you heard any news on Mez? Becuase I heard Grossmann got concussed from Malkin's shot to the head.
