Divide between Allen, Celtic ending in split?

08:07 AM ET 04.20 | A move that would have sent Ray Allen to Memphis is now openly discussed in Boston, which isn't sitting well. It's been a disappointing season for Allen, because privately, he feels somewhat slighted by an organization for which he developed a loyalty and trust -- and his demeanor has changed over the past few weeks. ... It seems while the Celtics have undergone a resurgence -- primarily because trades for Allen and Pierce never materialized -- there has been a breakdown in communication and perhaps regard between management and those veteran players. The wedge may be too late to close. Allen wants to finish this season with a championship, but the likelihood of his return next season has diminished.

This year was going to be the last hurrah for the big three anyway. I'm glad that they kept the team together for one last push The shortened season benefits this veteran team as well. But, it's been obvious for over a year that Allen would not be on the team for 2012-13.

loyalty is nothing in the NBA, look at Fisher and Odom. With all these issues, personally i still think they can upset the Bulls in the 2nd round

You guys in Boston don't forget you have that wiz kid Danny Boy making these moves. Sadly though for Boston, he doesn't have Kevin around to assist him in building a championship team. Hey Danny Boy, this time around you have to do it yourself.....build a championship team that is..............good luck Boston!

When Ray leaves he is only going to go to a contender, the Grizz could be that team but I doubt it...The Nets will have the dough to get him if its about the money and not another ring.

As long as they finish out this year strong, i wouldn't be mad if the big 3 separate after this season.... but RONDO IS THE FUTURE!!!!

Bulls would win a title if allen went there IMO..... perfect compliment to D rose.... not saying RIP hasn't been productive, but Allen is a bit of a upgrade....

I'm Good MMA..... I'm thinking that if things go right, we can head to the ECF.... maybe the finals if we catch either the heat or bulls off guard....

Yeah thats the problem they have Rip and Korver so they definately wont add Ray to that because their defensive capabilities are lets just say not high priority.

Bradley has done an admirable job taking Allen's position. I can understand his ego being hurt a bit.
But honestly, i think Ray's ability run around all game long for open 3s has greatly diminished. I think his going away from Celtics will NOT be a MAJOR blow. Can be replaced with some draft pickups of 3-point shooters.
BUT everyone can only wish the best for Ray Ray.
