08:09 AM ET 04.20 | The debate about whether Dwight Howard was quitting on the Magic can now be pushed aside. Never before has an aching back done so much to heal an ailing image. [Howard's] season may be over, but at least his image has been salvaged. Dwight is expected to undergo back surgery Friday morning in Los Angeles to repair a herniated disk that will effectively end his season and essentially end any remote chance the Magic may have had of winning a championship. But you know what? This is so much better than the alternative; than the reports and rumors that began to catch fire and circulate throughout the sports world. ... The fact is Dwight has always been an NBA Iron Man who would play through pain and do anything and everything possible to help his team win.

And now Pacers can get passed the first round with no issues. They were suppose to take the Magic in 6, but now they can do it in 4.

I have no problem with Dwights image and heres why. The Magic foolishly believed they had plenty enough time to win mulitiple rings so they very unwisely inserted Nelson (a outta shape one at that) into the lineup in the finals. The Magic at the time were outplaying the Lakers and should have won the finals. This move was done with both Smith and SVG blessing. Now two years later and blunder (trades/signings) after blunder the Magic find themselves about to lose a player who clearing does not want to play for SVG. I say Fire SVG at season's end period. It is time for change in Orlando whether Dwight stays or leave. SVG is not this great coach some seems to think he is, in my opinon.

Lebron left Cavs hanging and without any regards..... I simply don't see it that way with Dwight. Dwight can and will turn a team into a champion if its the right team. I'm not so sure about the very talented one, Lebron.
