08:20 AM ET 04.20 | Bo Ryan, after more than a little unflattering national attention, has found a higher road. Jarrod Uthoff, now the nation's most famous redshirt freshman, is free to transfer anywhere outside the Big Ten. [The issue] stems from coaches' desire to squash collegiate free agency. Their desire to retain as much control over their charges as possible, same as pro sports franchise owners from yesteryear. ... Coaches and administrators believe free agency would bring chaos, from illicit recruiting to competitive balance upheaval to disruption of summer workouts, the untold scandal of collegiate athletics. But the NCAA should not fear free agency. Player freedom would enhance college football and basketball.

This Week's Sign of the Apocalypse: Free Agency in College Sports.

That'd up the market for bagman payments in recruiting, so as an SEC fan, naturally I am against it.

Just make it that the player can transfer anywhere except for in-conference....

Actually, it was spinning and chasing it's tail, had to go, went, came back, still chasing it's tail, got out and came back and redid it, then it of course posted twice. No problem, enjoy watching it chase it's tail, I enjoy that sport too. :-)

I just love your attitude towards life, Colonel. Always keeping it positive. Kudos to you, sir.

But next time, you can keep the details of "going" to yourself. Much obliged. ;-)
