Fisher wants review of NBPA finances under Hunter

08:53 AM ET 04.21 | National Basketball Players Association president Derek Fisher fired back at the union's leadership pushing for his resignation on Friday night. Fisher, who is calling for an independent review of the union's business and financial practices under executive director Billy Hunter, reiterated that he wouldn't resign and called for peers in the league to stand and fight with him. Hunter has rallied the eight-player executive committee to call for Fisher's resignation. Hunter and the committee failed Friday in hopes of organizing a conference call among the league's player representatives to call for Fisher's ouster.

How can you follow a quitter?

In your case you can, all you have to do is look into a mirror and you will ALWAYS follow a quitter!!!! LOL.

Billy Hunter is the true crook. Fisher doesn't have a crooked bone in him outside of the basketball court (a notoriously physical thug there). Billy Hunter has had his hand in the commissioner's backpocket for decades now. Fish is a fallguy for Hunter.

Both Hunter and Fisher should be given their hats and shown the door. Both are in Sterns pocket. Both are trying to point the finger at each other.

Man, this is almost as ugly as the lockout.

Fisher is too much drama. While Hunter does look/act like a crook, I don't think for ONE minute Fisher is a saint. He's been real selfish every which way. Both need to go. Soon!

Well don't know the man but I have respect for his game and anyone who makes comments here about him as if they know him should be careful, you are questioning a man's integrity that you know nothing about. I happen to agree with him on checking the system and making sure it is run correctly. If Billy Hunter has nothing to hide he would not do what he is trying to do. Fisher has always came across as a stand up man and Hunter has not. So don't say things about anyone that you know nothing about makes you look stupid and foolish which seems to be most of the comments I have seen. I think he was voted in by the players so the players are the only ones who should be able to vote him out not some hand pick executive committee. Let the players decide what should happen.

* and just for clarification- YOU are the one who typically quote irrelevant stats about current players from 4-5 years ago...just sayin

Quit being a whinny ****... Fischer wants to audit the books to show everyone if things are straight... Hunter is against it. Makes Hunter look guilty... enough said.

As for contribution, tangible and intangible, Fischer still has an impact, or he wouldn't still be playing.

Get over it...

I'm not sure a bunch of Jazz fans would agree with you.

If Fisher show's any sort of questionable findings, an audit should absolutely be conducted. Hard to imagine this sort of procedure isn't already in place but as Jack sai, "Corruption Runs Deep"
