09:01 AM ET 04.21 | Arkansas linebacker Brock Haman, a graduate of Scottsdale Saguaro High School, received his release from the Razorbacks this week and appears to be focusing on in-state options. "That would be my preference as a parent," Brock's dad, Doug Haman, told TucsonCitizen.com on Thursday. Brock, a redshirt freshman who is finishing the semester at Arkansas, has already talked to Arizona State coaches, Doug said.

There will probably be an exodus, but I'm thinking this kid was already in that process before the Petrino fiasco...

He can transfer to any school other than Wisconsin.

Are we going to have only two real good teams in the SEC this year, again?????

LOL, yeah actually you're right!!! I look for the 12 PAC to only have one very good team and the rest will be average, fair and poor this year.

If the 12PAC has mostly teams average or worse teams, that crazy Pirate in Pullman may pull more wins than aticipated. It took the good Big 12 teams to beat him at TT most of the time.

Yep....I'm a'thinking he's gonna have a good stay up there...Be a lot like TTU in that will beat the "lesser" schools but have a hard time against the U$C's....

Yep...it he at least has equal talent he usually ends up winning. When he's severely out talented, not as often...but occasionally...i.e. Harrell to Crabtree!

Is this the beginning of an exodus from UA football in the wake of the Petrino firing?

We shall see....IMO, there will not be a mass exodus. This years' team is a top 10 team, with or without BEFP. I don't see anyone going anywhere b/c of the coaching staff.

IMO, the impact on the '13 recruiting class is where Arky will get screwed by this debacle! BEFP never was a great recruiter, but we'll have a hard time filling the class w/ 3 *'s w/o a big hire

Yeah, I look for Leach to win 4/5 games this year. It's going to take him a few years to recruit the type of players he wants.

This kid was running 3rd team and wanted to leave for reasons unrelated to the latest headlines. His own father has been reported to have wanted him to stay at Arkansas. Just one of those things that often happens with kids away from home for the first time. Happens at every program, every year.

How is this news worthy?

He was a pinetime player! We will survive with him leaving. Sure he was homesick!
