08:03 AM ET 04.23 | Miami's needs don't begin or end with a quarterback. Maybe the Dolphins don't pick Ryan Tannehill. Maybe general manager Jeff Ireland sees all that potential, the leaked 34 Wonderlic score, the impressive 2-to-1 touchdown-to-interception ratio after only 19 starts and still decides, nah. ... I doubt it. Every sign points to Miami picking Tannehill and everyone in the NFL would be surprised if Ireland weighs the need his team has at quarterback and picks someone else -- serving up the biggest draft-day curveball since Brady Quinn. But what if the Dolphins surprise? What then? More importantly, who then? Here is the name to keep in mind just in case: Fletcher Cox.

If Cox isn't, then absolutely...
But as the Giants have shown... if you can't get a pass rush you are screwed. I'm pretty certain Cox fits the bill if he is still around at 14.

There's a huge red flag on a QB that was originally scouted as no higher than Round #2 in any case. He competed, but Stephen McGee and Jerrod Johnson beat him out for QB his first two years. I think his agent has created a lot of potentially Brian Bosworthian-hype for old Ryan.
