08:07 AM ET 04.24 | It is, apparently, Al Horford's prerogative to change his mind. Hours after [Horford] expressed doubt he'd be ready for the playoffs due to injury, a doctor convinced Horford he could play in a limited fashion in Thursday's regular-season finale against the Dallas Mavericks. Horford was expected to be out three to four months after undergoing surgery Jan. 11 for a torn left pectoral muscle. The two-time All-Star told Yahoo! Sports after practice Monday morning he didn't feel it was "realistic that I can play for the playoffs." But after meeting later with his surgeon, Dr. Xavier Duralde of Atlanta, he felt confident with a return Thursday, starting with "about 15 minutes" per game.

Doesn't matter if Al is back for the playoffs. JJ will disappear worst then Lebron in the 4th, he will disappear the whole series.

Al rest and get 100% healthy. The Hawks will lose in the 1st round anyway, you know the drill.
5 games (4-1 losers) is not worth aggrevating or reinjuring the injury. Sit down buddy!

Why Mr. Horford? Just sit it out brother. I can admire your desire to play but do not risk it.

Atlanta won't get out of the second round if they make it that far....

QUOTE(#10):

World Peace (what a dumbass name) should be suspended for the entire playoffs and any championship game for that elbow incident. But he does play for the Lakers so that automatically reduces the penalty. Had he played for some lesser team he would have been suspended immediately. that was NO accident. The man is a jerk and has done that before. Worst of luck to you, Lakers. Only thing I respect about the Laker organization is the LAKER GIRLS.

Yet no mention of Horford at any point in your post.

Really? LOL it is fascinating listening to guys talk smack here with NO logic or any basis for facts.
Same as last year. NO ONE gave Hawks a chance even in the first round.

Here is the deal - Hawks have the 5-6th spot without their BEST player for all of the season.
Boston has had fits playing against Hawks, mainly because Rondo's running lanes are blocked, and Zaza seems to get into KG's mind for some unknown reasons.

On paper, hawks should lose to Boston.
BUT - make no mistake about it. I said this here first, I won't be a BIT surprised if the hawks kick the Boston home in 6-7 games. Hawks will have home court, and they're just a bad matchup for Boston.
