07:58 AM ET 04.25 | What more could Eli Manning and his two titles do for New York? The two-time Super Bowl champion and MVP has never been one to seek the spotlight, but even he can't help but notice the lack of attention he's received this offseason. The NFL talk in New York has been all about Mark Sanchez, Tim Tebow and the Jets. "(The) New York Giants just won a championship," Manning said to Fox News Channel over the weekend, "yet I'm still the third most talked about quarterback in my own city." Manning was smiling and got a good laugh from the crowd at Ole Miss when he delivered that line during a panel discussion moderated by Fox News' Shepard Smith, so it didn't appear as if he was truly hurt by the lack of attention.

how ironic, Eli the good QB is snubbed by the media for a couple of scrubs!

I saw this and he had a huge "Eli smile" on his face...

Bashing is coming from the haters but he was enjoying every minute of it.

Eli has the toughness Sanchez lacks and the skills Tebow lacks.

April 25, 2012  08:29 AM ET

All he does is win.

Poor wittle Eli is "uncool"

April 25, 2012  08:33 AM ET

Eli is just the best... how can you not like this guy. A truly humble, hard working man that appreciates his opportunities. May not be the polished gem that other QB's see themselves as being, but he gets the job done.

April 25, 2012  08:33 AM ET

I can't help but respect Eli more and more.

You can blame that on up-bringing.

Sure, Sanchez and Tebow are getting all the media attention. But, it's not because they're any good. Who's going to report on a capable working man when the circus is in town?

You've earned my respect, Eli. That's better than being a pop culture icon, believe me.

Cause it's more fun to talk about the guys that don't get it done. You hear more about Tebow than even Tom Brady and Peyton Manning (well since he picked a team that is). Eli shouldn't feel too down, he's got 2 rings after all. With that said this kid really does seem to have little brother syndrome doesn't he, always whining or hey hey look at me too... pouting on draft day, I am elite I AM I AM I AM, they don't even talk about me in my own city....

Tuck refers to him as "The baby faced assassin." I think he nailed it.
