08:06 AM ET 04.25 | The executive committee of the NBAPA has reportedly sent a memo to its player reps that present Derek Fisher as an unfit leader. In addition to saying Fisher has failed to participate in executive committee conference calls, failed to make appearances on the union's behalf, and chosen not to cooperate with executive director Billy Hunter since January, the memo presents a timeline of recent events to support its decision last week to ask for Fisher's resignation. While the memo says the executive committee became "increasingly concerned" with Fisher's leadership over the past few months, the division between Fisher and the other eight members of the committee came to a head last week.

Lets see here, was Fisher unfit to be a leader before or after Fisher asked to see union's financial review? Hmmm.... Fisher asked to see the review and all of sudden Hunter starts to sweat and calls Fisher resign. I smell fishy and not the kind when players get out of the playoffs.

This has got to hurt MJ. Like getting beat in the playoffs by the cheap-ass Pistons. Until he finallly overcame.

And what is the NBAPA again? Fish did his job and they are not in the news now.. so leave him alone.. and do something about Ronnie.. Mr Peace..

Well if the players elect to have this crook Hunter intice them to vote Fish out base on this backpocket crook for the commissioner, I say they are infact a buncha misled misfits.

They both should go......Whether one guy is more or less of a turd shouldn't save either

The players would do well by themselves to toss the whole E-Board and start from scratch. After watching their performance during the lockout I'd say the guys that sweep the court could do just as good a job.

Hunter is an idiot and Fisher is in way over his head. What's worse.. them being corrupt or them being inept?

Both Hunter and Fisher should be showed the door.

Hunter shhould have been canned after the last contract was signed. The guy is a fool. During the lockout, he acted like the players worked for him. Wrong answer. I don't blame Fisher for wanting to have a ffinancial review of the union.

Fisher has entered to last stage of his playing career. He's playing on fumes. The man has nothing left to give, but playoff crunch time experience. The union does need new leadership.

The players are already upset about what they got in this deal. Players are pointing fingers at Fisher and/or Hunter. And if fingers are being pointed now after a new deal. That means there's going to be another lockout when this deal is done. And once again the fans won't care.

I Aaagreee! The board did a terrible job for the players and cost them more money then the owners. They should start from scratch and find a better system that will benefit the players and not put money in Hunter's family pockets.

A new job.......Fisher should be bookin and lookin. An inquiry........Hunter should be low in elation while expecting an investigation.

Hunter is not an idiot, he executed his plan perfectly: he remains on the payroll, his family is fed, and he still has control of the union. Hunter is in this business for himself, not for some pesky players wanting to see financial papers... pfffft, who does Fisher think he is?
