08:15 AM ET 04.25 | At this rate, quality over quantity seems to be serving Lane Kiffin well. The USC Trojans might be limited again by the NCAA in terms of the number of recruits they can sign in the 2013 class, but based on the early returns and building buzz, [Kiffin] and staff could be on the verge of signing one of the most talented USC recruiting classes in recent memory. There are a total of 18 available spots, with three of those needing to be early enrollees that will count against the 2012 class. ... Max Browne (Sammamish, Wash./Skyline) was the big fish for the Trojans, and they landed a commitment from the 6-foot-5 signal caller earlier this month. Browne will enroll early at USC and is firm in his commitment.

Its now or never,, if USC fails this season to go all the way it could be decades before they get another crack at it. Thats a whole lot of pressure on such a young and inexperience coach, OMG what if Matt Barkley goes down with injury!!
There some much for the Trojan fans to panic about !

It's amazing what can be accomplished when you're forced to focus on quality. Without the luxury of knowing you can have a few misses and still be OK, Kiff and his boyz know there's no room for error.
That being said, injuries and recruiting misses/transfers will happen, so I wouldn't do too many handsprings down the hallway just yet, Trogan fans.

We ND fans have seen more than one coach that could (alledgedly) bring in the talent but not get it done on the field. Lane can recruit but I'm not convinved he is a long term (if there is such a thing in college football) solution to keeping the Trojans in the hunt every year. What do you SC folks think (Oldtimer? ICE? LA Boy?). I'd even like to hear Sandy's opinion if he is in one of his more rational moods...

You are only hoping its now or never Van. We all knew Lane could recruit like hell, the question was could he coach??? The last 2 years have shown that he may very well be a damn good coach. Keep drinking my friend, you may be in for at least a few more years of shellackings from us. LOL

For OT, saw this gem last year:
Florida's game at Texas A&M will be its first regular season game west of Fayetteville since playing at USC in 1983.
