08:21 AM ET 04.26 | The Cavaliers return both starter Michael Rocco and backup David Watford, but their quarterback of the future may be 6-foot-5, 215-pound Greyson Lambert. The end of Virginia's spring football practice has left [Lambert] in a good place and not just because he's headed home to Jesup, Ga., this weekend for his senior prom. Lambert, one of the most highly rated quarterbacks to sign with Virginia, completed his degree requirements at Wayne County High School in December and enrolled at UVa for the second semester. Virginia only recently has allowed football players to enroll at midyear, and never more than one or two a year. "It's the best decision," said Lambert after completing eight of 15 passes for 75 yards [in UVa's spring game].

Ditto

I'd like to see the Wahoos show some solid improvement, the ACC needs some of their middling teams to get on a roll and generate some conference excitement. It was alotta fun when NC State, then Wake were shaking things up over there.

Already number 3? So he beat out 1 guy.

Good point. Those "middlers" increase the strength of the whole conference IMHO!

Where are all the recruiting ratings gurus? WTFjj and LUS? Was this kid highly-rated, or no?

I hear ya, Guido, there's plenty of fluff possibilities here -- but a true frosh early enrollee, at a pretty strong academics school, with good size, and puts on a decent spring game performance is worthy of note.

That was taken recently.

You must be sleep-deprived from that little one, get that coffee flowing and pay more attention!

Speaking of Ditto, DC: Do you remember the movie "Teachers" with Nick Nolte? And the old fart teacher everybody called "Ditto?" I knew a couple of those types when I was in the classroom.

Yes I do. One of the funniest scenes in the movie. They were so regimented that Ditto died first period but no one knew it until the end of the day! I knew some too and it was a war to get them changed or get them gone!

He's a 4* with a big arm. A top 10 QB nationally.

That's why I'm blah about it. He was supposed to challenge for the starting position, since this is the best prospect they've had in a long time.

For you, compare to when Brantley or Tebow came in. If they were 3rd or 4th on the depth chart, it would have been a disappointment.

That's what I thought. Two good articles on SI and the FN mods can't even pull one of those for a thread! Geez Louise.

Hijack?

What about this comment from Scott?

Scott would like to see a system that weighs strength of schedule more heavily. "If we go to a four-team playoff, then we're essentially going to put more stock in the playoff," Scott said. "The plan, from my perspective, would be a more credible, objective, fair system that balances strength of schedule. We all don't play over the same course. Every conference has got different caliber. Some conferences play nine conference games. Some play eight. Some play stronger out-of-conference competition. Some tend to not. They just want to get home games."

Ahh, I'm with ya now. I wasn't sure what the kid's ranking was coming in, makes sense.

Hey now, that guy is bashing my team! Cut it out!!! ;-)

And home games = $$, doesn't he understand that the SEC runs on money (applied in conventional as well as unconventional ways)??

For reference purposes, that's p. 1, printed in BIG BOLD ITALIC LETTERS in the "SEC Cheater's Handbook and Football Financing Guide". Can't missit
