09:38 AM ET 04.26 | Manchester United and Real Madrid are locked in battle to sign Brazilian wonderkid Lucas Moura -- the 19-year-old sensation who has already been capped 11 times by his country. United are pulling out all the stops to entice the Sao Paulo attacking midfielder to Old Trafford and fends off the interests from the Spaniards.

Bueller? Bueller?

ManU is stupid if they don't just go buy Eden Hazard. Be nice to have Tiote or Yann M'Vila behind him as well. They've got strikers, defenders, wide players. Put those two in the middle - that's a great team.

Um, he's sick. My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Ferris pass out at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it's pretty serious

CL semifinals hangover I guess.

I just want to point out I called 2-1 RM then going to penalties.

FreakShow (I think) was the first to give you props in yesterday's thread. Good call.

nah. I didn't even remember the game was on until haltime. I would rather we win the league than the concacheap.
We only played one good team all tournament which was Santos in the final.

Yeah, but now you play in the Club World Cup or whatever it's called.

I guess there is that.
As of right now Monterrey is good enough of a team to compete, unlike last year when they were playing their worst football in the last four years. Bad enough to not even qualify for the playoffs

Do you know if there is a good web streaming site for Primera Division?

I really don't. Up to a couple of weeks ago I could watch all of them in the spanish channels until they created Univison deportes and moved all of the Monterrey games there.
I'll find something and let you know

Llorente!! Last minute heroics and at least we'll have an all La Liga Europa League final.

If there were any doubts that Llorente has the potential to become one of the top center forwards in Europe, this game should remove them. It's not just his two assists and difficult last minute goal to win the series, or even the all the great saves he forced, but also the way Sporting simply couldn't contain him.

Barca needs to do everything possible to sign this guy. He's exactly what's missing up front when other teams try to imitate Chelsea's tactics.

On the topic of the day, I can see why clubs are fighting over Lucas Moura. The kid is impressive.

In other Man U transfer news from the last few days, it seems they are seriously interested in picking up young Costa Rican left-back/left mid Bryan Oviedo from Copenhagen. As this comes from the Man U website itself, I would take it fairly seriously. I wonder if they see him as a possible eventual replacement for Evra?

Oviedo does have some pedigree coming from being chosen as the top left-back at the 2009 U20 World Cup and having quickly achieved success in the Danish league. It this does go through, we'd have two Tico's named Bryan in the Premier League - unusual in that it's not a common first name in Costa Rica.
