08:13 AM ET 04.27 | Many shared the assumption that the Heat's starpower and status as a contender would make them a lock for Sunday's 3:30 p.m. EDT playoff time slot. It was the team's, too. And so, when Dwyane Wade learned that the Heat's first-round series would start Saturday, "My eyebrows raised a little, like the Rock's." "We would have loved to have the extra day," said LeBron James, who watched the Knicks beat the Clippers on Wednesday. "But it is what it is." ... They spent Thursday morning drilling defense, especially against pick-and-rolls. With the series likely to open at 3:30 Saturday, Friday will be used for an extended shootaround in Miami. "You can only do so much right now," Spoelstra said.

It's too bad the NBA playoffs are nowhere near as exciting as the NHL. Especially the first round.

The Heat didn't get the best possible seeding and TV times?? Unthinkable!

Doesn't Stern know who they are? They are the Heat and the NBA was supposed to do everything they could to help them get that ring that they obviously feel they are entitled to just for showing up!

And now they have to play on Saturday? Oh the humanity!!

April 27, 2012  09:08 AM ET

Just don't lose in the first round.....

April 27, 2012  09:09 AM ET

Lol, really? They didn't even play their couple of games.

The Knicks Match Up Pretty Well With the heat with Melo On Lebron and Amare On Bosh.... But after that the Heat still Have D-Wade.... But the Knicks role players have proven that they can be more effective than the heat's role players.... it will be a good series...
