Warriors waited too long to tank

08:14 AM ET 04.27 | Golden State earned itself an extra lottery, but this one may wind up being more important to the future of the Warriors, who on Thursday started five rookies and used only two substitutes against the Spurs -- who left their head coach and top three players in San Antonio. ... It might make Warriors fans sick to realize that their team could have finished in a three-way tie for fifth -- all but assuring they kept that pick -- if they had lost Sunday at Minnesota. But they roared back from a 21-point deficit to win and waited until the last two games to go into full tank mode, as they sat some seemingly healthy players and benched others during key stretches.

That's an appropriate question to ask someone excited about a threeway!

It would be nice but there's a better chance that you two would be 67% of that threeway you're dreaming of!

Sad. But so very true. After all those losing season. I still don't get why Warrior fans kept going to the games. I guess Warrior fans think that a 30 win season, every season is a great season.

They obviously failed to read the tanking primer by the Spurs brain trust.
