08:23 AM ET 04.27 | Not only has Canucks goalie Roberto Luongo agreed to waive his no-trade clause, he has also, according to a report, asked to be traded. Luongo reportedly asked to be moved during his exit meetings with the Canucks. Canucks general manager Mike Gillis wouldn't confirm that Luongo has asked for a trade while talking on a Vancouver radio station, TEAM 1040. "I'm not quite sure why something like that (the reports) would be out there," Gillis said. "I think we all need to take a deep breath. The early exit from the playoffs, not meeting our expectations, can lead you to make some pretty poor decisions in a real hurry. I think we all need to step back for a couple of days and not do anything."

Can't argue with this the second round starts tonight at least let it rest until the cup has been raised.

That's asking for too much.

It's not FN's fault, though. The media here has been beating this story for days now. THEY need to let it rest until Draft season is upon us.

Oh oh

April 27, 2012  09:35 AM ET

Not for nuthin, but what is a top 10 goalie with 10 years left on his contract at a large cap hit until he is 43 years old worth?

I don't see vancouver getting much in return.

<looks at Burke's history>

Well, I hope that Toronto didn't like their 1st round picks much.

The article is from the Toronto Sun. Are they trying to soften up the fans for when Burke pulls the trigger on the trade?

You're confusing the fans for the players.
