Johnson on Kings: 'I could care less'

08:28 AM ET 04.27 | Jack Johnson's ties to Los Angeles are now merely geographic. He plans to keep [his Manhattan Beach home] -- well, yeah! -- and spend a month or so near the Pacific Ocean after every NHL season, remaining a temporary resident of California. His divorce from the Los Angeles Kings, though, is final. ... "It's funny," Johnson said. "I've been asked that by a few people. I don't feel any emotional connection to the Kings at all. To me, it's just another hockey game. I've completely turned the page like that. If I'm out and I happen to see it on TV, it's really not a big deal. To be honest with you, I could care less if they win or lose. ... [Whether] they win or not, it means nothing to me."

He'd never be mistaken for Tebow. The word selfless wouldn't be heard in a conversation with Johnson and Wisniewski.

He sounds like someone trying to wash an ex out of his life.

Danny what do you expect from a Johnson?

Actually he should have said, "I couldn't care less." To say, "I could care less" implies that he cares something about the situation.

That having been said, I'm sure the feeling is mutual.

April 27, 2012  09:35 AM ET

"Couldn't" care less Jack. So what you're telling me with that quote is that you could care less, you just choose not too...that's just lazy Jack.

Johnson on Kings: 'I could care less'

just like this thread

sounds to me like he's trying to convince himself that he moved on. Sees his former team score the biggest upset of the 1st round and then looks at the situation he's facing for the next few years...

I have to share this. It's from yesterday's Roy thread. I'm pretty sure it's not 'the' JR.

Do you know who Pierre Mcguire is....from the sounds of it...I don't think so....He IS the most knowledgeable hockey mind in all of the NHL right now, on top of knowing every player, pro and amateur, this is a gut who sleeps, eats and lives hockey...this nbc gig is a joke and a waste of talent of his magnetude.....any NHL team would be lucky enough to have him directing their franchise......so people, think before you speak
