10:17 AM ET 04.28 | An All-Star as a rookie in 2011, Angels reliever Jordan Walden has lost his job as closer one blown save into 2012. Manager Mike Scioscia announced before Friday night's game against the Cleveland Indians that veteran left-hander Scott Downs will close with Walden moving to a seventh- or eighth-inning role "for right now."

This team has underachieved on so many levels, there isn't much margin for error.

a little blink,,,,,, and down you go,,,,

April 28, 2012  01:18 PM ET

anybody who mess up in the game,, would be hitting the bench,,,,

April 28, 2012  01:20 PM ET

except, that the team itsn't fair, everybody should be hitting the bench, or cut down their salary, or its there anything better than that???

April 28, 2012  01:21 PM ET

now, there asre players who stay too long out of the lineup, and when they come to pitch, or hit, they just can't find the timming and the confortzone!!!

April 28, 2012  02:22 PM ET

Blame the lineup all they want - until they start pitching better it isn't gonna matter much.

Good thing they signed C.J.

Man one blown save must have mattered more than losing all those not so close games I guess...
