10:43 AM ET 04.28 | No Longhorns were selected Friday as the NFL conducted rounds two and three of its draft. That means for the first time since 2000, there wasn't at least one Texas player taken in the first three rounds. This is only the second time it's happened in the Mack Brown era. When the NFL begins rounds four through seven today, three Longhorns will be on the clock - linebackers Keenan Robinson and Emmanuel Acho and tackle Kheeston Randall.

Only consolation, if IL has 4 in top 50, don't really care about drafts as the measure

That was a bad draft for instant success...but they got a very good WR for little money. Think down the road a couple of years....

I really don't think that the Longhorns have sunk all that far. Yes they have had a couple of bad seasons, but this season will say quite a bit about the future of MB.

Especially when nos 1 and 2 were told, thanks but no thanks, we're not interested.
Absolute head scratchers. But, if the choice was to get the no 8 pick in the draft or a decent college player, give me the latter.

Was hoping he'd be available for the 'Boys ... replacing Robinson as #2 receiver is a huge need.

He was what that the offense revolved around. Looked what happened to OU after he went down. He'll be a good compliment to Johnson.

Yes it is amazing that 3 QBs from Texas got drafted in the first round, but I think it's more about the system they played in than the state they came from, but regardless it's still amazing that they all came fron Texas!!!!

Good point, I'm still looking for them to rebound this year.

Not only 1st round but all top 8. But again, if being no 8 and never beating a top 50 defense is the measure, I'm glad my team passed.
I'll gladly take my 4th round qb that found ways to win.

I think the point is ... it's amazing that UTx didn't recruit them.
Same scenario at RB in many instances.
And I wouldn't call what they did at OL as "recruiting"
Thankfully those coaches have been replaced.
