10:21 AM ET 04.29 | Brett Hundley as UCLA's starting quarterback is a decision that may be in the near future. Hundley, who was a redshirt as a freshman in 2011, took a big step toward winning the job Saturday. He ran the first team almost exclusively, getting a large chunk of reps as UCLA coaches wanted to get a look at his decision-making abilities. Hundley completed seven of 11 passes during a 24-play stretch with the first-team offense. That included a 28-yard touchdown pass to Shaquelle Evans. He displayed elusiveness, escaping pressure three times to make positive gains, including scrambling five yards for a touchdown. Hundley also ran the first-team offense during the two-minute drill, moving the ball to the three-yard line. A wide-open Evans dropped a pass on fourth down. Hundley sprinted to Evans, not to berate but to encourage.

Hey nothing beats sitting in the Rose Bowl on a hot sunny day, in So Cal, watching the gold and blue, even if they do suck yr after yr. Life's good.

Especially, since "hot" in Pasedena is about 30 degrees cooler than DKR

This article is talking about a QB, ND has no starting QB!!!! LOL.

Yes it does, sitting in the Coliseum watching a team win week after week and beating your poor suck team.

Good for the kid, but it's more of a regional story, especially since it's only spring drills. I don't think a story about a redshirt freshman playing well in a spring scrimmage would garner much national interest even if the school was Texas or Alabama, much less UCLA.

I think the Bruins will have a better FB team before their BB program gets any better.

Yep, only the best recruiting class in the country, ahead of UK... no hope in the future at all...

Bruins should be #3 in the conference and then next year - watch out as the powerhouse schools in the conference take a year to reload!

And they'll all leave for the NBA the year after.

College Basketball is worthless.
