11:11 AM ET 04.29 | If you're interested in what Tiger Woods thinks about Quail Hollow, the Wells Fargo Championship and the state of his golf game, he's going to talk about those things on his website (www.tigerwoods.com) Monday rather than address the media prior to the tournament next week. Rather than do a pre-tournament media session at various events, Woods will post a video on his website that will include him answering questions submitted by fans via his Twitter account and Facebook. The first video is expected to be posted on Monday. "Instead of talking to the media, he'll talk directly to his fans," Woods' agent, Mark Steinberg said. "With social media today, it made sense to connect to (fans) so we'll selectively pick some events to do that." Steinberg said Woods has made himself available for a formal interview or an informal gathering with reporters prior to the start of each tournament he has played. That will change at Quail Hollow next week. He will not address the media on Wednesday either before or after his pro-am round. Woods will still talk with the media after he plays tournament rounds and will do pre-tournament interviews where is the defending champion, at major championships and selected events. Steinberg said the new initiative is not in response to media criticism, most recently when Woods was criticized for kicking a club after hitting a bad shot at the Masters.

He gets to interact with his fans at every event he plays in so that sounds like bs from his agent. This is something that keeps the media away from him. I can understand why he would want that but to say it's because he wants to talk directly to his fans is insulting. Tiger doesn't seem to like people in general and golf fans in particular.

Now let's see, Nicklaus is receiving the Congressional Gold medal right? Isn't that the same "award" that congress was contemplating giving Showboat before his ex took a five-iron to his visage? And they were going to give it to him for Sportsmanship and breaking down racial barriers? Now there's an oxymoron. A guy that spits on the green, throws his clubs, curses like a little boy and has no respect for anyone else. How did they get sportsmanship out of that? And, he didn't break any racial barriers. Didn't anyone ever hear of Lee Elders or Charlie Sifford?
The day may yet come when the media no longer shoves this clown down our collective throats.

Yes, and John keeps his cool when he's playing. His breakfast may consist of a fig newton and a cigarette but he doesn't act like a child while he's on the course. I walked into GolfSmith today to look at the Callaway Razor X's and because it's last year's model the price has dropped a hundred dollars. It will take three weeks to get them because I was fitted to a two degree flat lie (my old Mizuno's were 1 degree). I can't wait to get them. I'm happier than a six year old at Christmas. If you have a Golfsmith anywhere near you and you've never been fitted before, trust me, you won't be sorry. The have a nice system going there and the people are good at what they do.

How funny would it be if the first video he posts is Highlander! I would like Tiger a lot more if he would get a sense of humor. He's still a solid golfer but he is more concerned with the media than his play and this just goes to show it. He needs to get back to having fun again and the rest will take care of itself.

That's what I was thinking when I read Jon's comment. John Daly hasn't snapped at anyone or swore and kicked his clubs, but he has had a few meltdowns on the course.
