Pujols' at-bats getting worse, not better

08:15 AM ET 04.30 | Nearly a full month into the season and still without a home run, Albert Pujols continues to preach patience. "I'll leave you guys (to) play the little game about how many at-bats I have without hitting a home run. It's part of the game. I don't care about that. It's a long season. At the end, my numbers are going to be there and nobody's going to talk about what happened in April." ... The reality: Pujols' at-bats are getting worse, not better. One scout said his timing looks off. Another evaluator saw him exhibit visual signs of frustration Sunday. Pujols' performance is raising doubt about whether he has developed an effective rapport with longtime Angels hitting coach Mickey Hatcher.

I knew he'd have issues outside the Saint Louis protective media bubble, but I didn't think it was going to be this bad. He's going to explode and/or implode if this goes on much longer.

Rapport with a hitting coach? Are you kidding me? No one coaches Pujols. He's always ignored coaches and barely paid attention to the manager.

Cards really aren't missing him right now...the team is playing very well, despite the rotation questions.

This awful contract is going to give Crawford a run for his money. And yes, the media will love it

QUOTE(#3):

What rotation questions? Lohse is pitching out of his mind and Lance Lynn is the Cards ace, then you have Garcia and that 'viable' starter Wainwright..............

agreed about those three. i doubt anyone would have predicted that Wainwright would be 0-3 with an ERA over 7, while Lohse stands at 4-0. was really referring to Carpenter not being in the mix.

Pujols fails to mention that by the time he is gracious enough to start playing the Angels will already be at least 12 games out. He is being paid to play six months, not just four

And not playing in a punk division in the NL.

Uh, the AL West only has one good team. That's called a punk division

Notice his jersey in the photo...it has "ANLS"....ironic because that's where is is sticking it to the Angels....
