08:03 AM ET 05.01 | Randy Moss has reported for duty in San Francisco. Before he was signed, Moss and Jim Harbaugh agreed that the 13-year veteran would arrive for voluntary workouts on April 30. And sure enough, Moss arrived [Monday]. His arrival presumably means he will begin developing a rapport with starting quarterback Alex Smith -- yes, starting quarterback; Harbaugh left no doubt about that when asked last week -- and meeting the younger wideouts on the team. Moss and those other receivers caught passes today. "It was eye opening," he told the team's website (there was no outside media access today). "Today was the first day, and we were moving so fast. Today felt like we'd been out here for a week or two."

Harbaugh seeems like Bellichick in some ways - doesn't put up with any bs and gets the best effort from his players. He made a player out of Smith. Could work for Moss this year if age and injury dn't catch up to him first.

In Tennessee, Moss was less of a disruption and more of a non-factor, right?

I totally agree with you. At list in this case the coach will most likely be on the winning side. I also think Moss might actually learn a little from the road TO went down and might not want to share his fate.

I think Moss will have a good (not great) year with the 49ers. Its the 2nd year you have to be concerned about.

I think that Harbaugh does have some great qualities but we're in his second season. He hasn't had to deal with any real prima donnas yet. Alex Smith wanted to test the FA waters; that was just silly and an easy argument to be won by the 9ers. Give Moss time. Gotta make a good first impression before going and disrupting things.

He was said to be a very good teammate with the Titans. Fisher just didn't use him.

I wonder how a San Fran meter maid would respond to him trying to run him/her down with his car. Still one of my favorite stories out of his run with the Vikings.

Wasn't too big on Nashville either. I hear that the 49ers catering is done by the Milano family. Hope Moss learned to keep his mouth shut
