08:08 AM ET 05.01 | The NBA is a results-driven business, and, for that, Paul Silas walked the plank in Charlotte. Stephen Silas, Paul's son and the Bobcats' lead assistant, will get an interview to succeed his father as head coach. Other potential candidates could include former N.C. State star Nate McMillan, former New York Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni and Orlando Magic assistant coach Patrick Ewing. When asked Monday if he'd have interest in the Bobcats opening, McMillan told the Observer, "I certainly do want to be in coaching again, so we'll see what happens." ... Asked why Silas won't get another season, as he requested, president of basketball operations Rod Higgins said, "The record kind of speaks for itself."

Does it matter which coach you have, when you have a loser for an owner????

They need Bobby Knight, John Wooden, Red Auerbach, Coach K, Phil Jackson, Jerry Sloan all in their primes. And that's just to make the playoffs.

Even at his current age (49), Ewing would be more help as a player. This team is like going to a gunfight with a stick.

I'd actually like to have P.E. here to give Bismack some guidance and hopefully Anthony Davis too...would be a good first time gig for him.

You can't coach a bunch of NBDL players to play at NBA level.

LMAO doesn't the record also reflect the president's job too? As well as the owners? and GM?
Trying to throw Silas under the bus hahahahaha.
Instead of eastern conf/western conf, NBA should have two levels. Elite and Plate. The bottom 2 each year from Elite move into Plate, and the top 2 from Plate get to move into Elite.
