08:17 AM ET 05.01 | Max Scherzer has been "fixed" before, and the Tigers hope they can do it again. Scherzer and Tigers pitching coach Jeff Jones believe they have found the delivery flaw that led to Scherzer's seven walks in 4 2/3 innings against the Yankees in New York on Sunday. The flaw involves where Scherzer holds his hands on his windup. ... Jones said the mispositioning of Scherzer's hands became clear Monday when he looked at tapes of Scherzer when he was pitching well. Scherzer said he needed to see only a few pitches on the video to comprehend the problem. To lock in the adjustment with his hands, Scherzer (1-3, 7.77 ERA) will throw two bullpen sessions before his next start, one more than usual. He is next due to pitch Saturday.

I liked the Scherzer that walked 7 guys. Why change a good thing?

It remains to be seen if the fix will fix what needs to be fixed.

....the fix for scherzer is that the umps grow some and quit giving jeter and the livin legends the treatment....darvish should have fanned about 17 yanks the other day if the umps were at all acting fair on the calls....
