08:26 AM ET 05.01 | Game 2 was over all too quickly Monday night for the Blues, who now find themselves in a deep 0-2 series hole against the Kings. [The] series will go back to LA for Game 3 Thursday. The Blues are scheduled to travel tonight as they look to change their fortunes. "We've got some looking in the mirror to do, some regrouping -- we need to make some changes so that we're better," Blues captain David Backes said. "I think X's and O's and film, we've done that to death. It's about intestinal fortitude and coming together as a group." ... LA's Mike Richards scored the first of four opening-period goals 31 seconds into the game. The Kings' first-period massacre also included two goals by Anze Kopitar and one from Jeff Carter.

Yeah, losing one of the 5 best d-men in the league certainly hurts oodles.

Definitely hurt on the PP.

Backes is being vocal as a captain should, but boy do they have a hole to climb out of after that debacle last night in the first period.

Blues and Preds had better get focused real soon, or it will be beach time............

That was one amazing display last night. Goaltending for the Blues is definitely an issue, but the Kings are flying and they look like they want the Cup more than the Blues do.

The Blues need to FLY out of the gate on Thursday. last night, they looked awful in the 1st period. I still think they're too good a team to get slapped around like they are though.

Another cup for Dustin Penner will be worth $$$ this summer.

Funny - the Sharks seem to be a team built for the regular season, and the Kings are built for the playoffs. The Blues are only a couple of players away from being Stanley Cup favs.

This is the best and most balanced the Kings have looked in all there 45 years.

So are the Yotes. You don't catch them standing around on their skates.

I'm just happy that talent and creativity prevailed in both games last night.

I hate Hitch's style of hockey almost as much as Tortorella's hacking, hooking, slashing, mucking, holding, grabbing and interfering style. And I despise Tortorella's "irked" expression every time a ref dares to make a call that goes against his muckers.

well, it would certainly be interesting to see richards and carter vs. the new flyers in the final......

Long live the Kings! As for the Blues, if they don't win the next game, they might wanna book Tommy Castro, 'cause this one's over!

That'd be a hell of a series. Send all the muckers packing and let's have a 'real hockey' final!

Has anybody noticed? Penner with a missing tooth looks like a real hockey player. He even showed some emotion in yesterday's game.

No telling what will happen if he gets a couple more knocked out. He might be the next Bobby Clark! ;-)
