The most talented draft class

08:01 AM ET 05.02 | Post-draft hype can be quite a burden for any draft class. These first year players will have a hard enough time trying not to get lost in their new cities. However, looking at the talent the Bengals acquired over the weekend, I like what Marvin Lewis is doing in Cincinnati. Start with Dre Kirkpatrick at No.17 overall. I talked up the Alabama CB in the months leading up to the draft because of his size, length and ability to play press-man. Kirkpatrick will need work this offseason (and has to learn how to win in an off-man position), but this should give Cincy an opening day starter opposite Leon Hall. ... [When] I think of the top draft classes (in terms of talent), the Bengals are on the list.

Last 3 yrs. now they have had the best drafts.......these ain't the Bengals of old - no more Divas and goof-balls, just guys wanting to play football.

Historically, as you look at these grades compared to actual production they usually don't correlate.

Pittsburgh had a really good draft, as well. The Bungles are still playing catch-up.

You might be right - but the last 2 drafts 2010 and 2011, 4 of them rookies made the Pro Bowl 2 each year and total of 4 in last years game would of been 5 if Dunlap didn't get injured mid way thru the season.

Seriously? I'd wish they'd start putting names rather than papers to these articles. That statement there makes me think this was by Adam Schefter.

Unless the Steelers defense has 'youth in a bottle' somewhere they aren't going to be as good as you think.

Disagree about Bengals draft class. 1st rounder has already been arrested for drugs and 2nd rounder blew out his ACL several years ago. There is a huge possibility for this class being a total disaster for the Bengals.

They are actually a lot younger on D when you consider how many 30 year olds were released/retired. Although, younger and faster doesn't mean more wins.
