08:05 AM ET 05.02 | GM Billy King has a long summer ahead of him, though Gerald Wallace is already on his mind. If Wallace opts out -- which King said he expects -- the Nets can sign him up to five years because they retain his Bird Rights. "Deron (Williams) is 27 years old. Gerald is 30. The goal is to win now." ... Eleven of the 15 players under contract can become free agents this summer, and, as expected, King said not all are coming back. "They're guys that I want back. There are guys that I let know that probably wouldn't be back. Gerald Wallace and Deron Wallace are obviously key pieces we want back in the fold. Brook Lopez. They're our major free agents," he said. "Then you add [Kris Humphries] in there as our starting top 4." ... King later added that Gerald Green to that list.

Billy......just sayin-You just named 4 out of 5 starters from last place teamMight want to either aim higher or go in a different direction, no?

Well Gerald Wallace came in late and he is not respected as much when the guy can guard every position maybe not Center in the league and he can score, was an allstar. As for Brook he doesnt count he hasnt played. Deron has given up he wants out and Kris just looks as good as he does because of where he plays, but move him to any other high market team and I bet his # decline.

Your the Nets. You've always been the Nets. You'll always be the Nets no matter what name you fly under.

This team is setup to possibly be a lower seed team playoffs team next year only if two things happen Williams stays and Brook Lopez is healthy.
