Kidd on Golden State's radar

08:06 AM ET 05.02 | Time for the Bay Area to break out those old Kidd Cal jerseys? Of course, there are some obstacles to the possibility. First off, it presumes the Mavs land Deron Williams in free agency (or some comparable PG). Kidd is up there in age, but it would probably take someone special to unseat him. Even if that happens, it would take some convincing on the Warriors??? end. Kidd has already said he???d be willing to back up Williams. ... But if somehow the Warriors want Kidd (gotta believe they???ll at least look into it this offseason) and can get him to buy into the new-look Warriors, the issue of salary comes up. Unless they get waaaay under the cap with some miraculous maneuvering, Golden State would have to use an exception to sign Kidd.

This may screw up Cuban's Plan. He may have to reduce it to eleven scubs. But it's going to cost him.

Going to a team with no chance of winning a championship at this stage of his career? No way!

Going Back To Your Roots, Bro?

Another dumbass idea from the Warriors. What else is new? Kidd will be 40 years old next season. Maybe the Warriors want to bring him in as a coach. Otherwise what are they expecting?

QUOTE(#11):

He was raised in Oakland. I could see him going there to retire.

Have you ever been to Oakland? Not San Fran or Walnut Creek, I'm talking about Oakland. If you have you would realize that is not the spot to retire to.

Using a trade exception at this point in his career approaching 40 doesn't like a good idea. Kidd would take less pay to stay a Mav and come off the bench. The Mav's have more pressing decisions other than just Kidd. They need to decide on whether they are resigning Ian Mahinmi and give Wright, Carter the qualifying offers, Terry and Delonte are free agents. I think this team will be much different next season
