08:09 AM ET 05.04 | So much for faith in one's team. Atlanta Hawks guard and NBA veteran, Jerry Stackhouse, has his own website and blog. He seems like a smart guy and everything, but Stack did a very dumb thing. Picking against your own team to win the NBA Finals? In Stackhouse's recent blog, he decided to predict the postseason winner. That's fine, as long as your team isn't in the playoffs. ... [Stackhouse's quote at the bottom of his blog: "I am clearly planning for Atlanta to be in the Finals -- if I put on my analyst hat, however, if we are looking at the personnel and everything that's going on during these playoffs, I have to take Miami to win it all. Miami is the favorite to come out of the East, and I'm not counting out the Lakers in the West."

Stackhouse come on man you are still in the playoffs. You know social media is out of control when players are blogging about predicting another team to win it all while still alive in the playoffs.

I have to agree with Stackhouse, I believe the Heat will win the NBA Finals and believe that the Lakers will win the west if they play big. Oklahoma does present a lot of challenge, but if the Lakers can get good return from their bench and play big with Bynum and Gasol, I believe the Lakers can win the west.

I think players should always think their team can beat someone else -- even if an objective assessment might say they don't have a chance. If you really think you are beaten before you start -- hard to pull the upset.
