Is Red Sox's Buchholz healthy?

10:43 AM ET 05.06 | The Red Sox are just not right. There's something missing still with this year's team. To be completely honest, the 2012 edition still bears too much of the stench from the end of last season. The pitching staff bears the heaviest responsibility for this Strother Martin-esque what-we've-got-here-is-a-failure-to-communicate feeling. It boils down to performance, first and foremost, and the pitching staff's association with the Twins at the bottom of the league ERA rankings is an embarrassment. The performance of the Big Three - Josh Beckett, Jon Lester and Clay Buchholz - has been inexplicable. The 8.87 ERA that Buchholz carried into his last start is more than concerning. He is either hurt or suffering from a mental block to his confidence. On each and every outing, both Buchholz and the team continue to provide a happy spin that is way too reminiscent of how John Lackey's starts tended to be treated the last two seasons. I???d wager that Buchholz has some variety of health problems that needs to be addressed ??? and soon.

QUOTE(#15):

baseball is all about adjustments.

And that applies to the whole team as well. The team has bet on the wrong horses: Dice K, Lackey, Crawford, Ellsbury and all on the DL making high salary. Gonzalez, Beckett , also high salary, are not playing to the value. The closer and 8th inning man who they acquired during the off season are also on the DL. Sox need to make adjustments. And more for next year than this year.
