08:05 AM ET 05.07 | Tim Tebow's role with the Jets is slowly becoming more defined. Tebow, perhaps the most versatile "backup quarterback" in NFL history, will be doing far more than holding a clipboard for Gang Green this coming season. ... Now, it's clear he'll play a role on special teams as well. Special teams coach Mike Westhoff told the Daily News he will use Tebow on his unit. Westhoff has already discussed his vision with Tebow, who was amenable and eager to contribute on special teams, according to the coach. Although Westhoff didn't reveal his exact plan, he called Tebow a "more potent Brad Smith" with an ability to make a difference on special teams.

Tebow is on the roster for fake punts and Wildcat shenanigans. He's Inspector Gadget Play.

A kickoff formation in the shape of a cross might not be the best idea...

He's going to get leveled.

A QB on special teams.... What will those wacky Jets think up next? I'm thinking cheerleading.

Only the Jets...I guess Revis is going to try his hand at RB, Brandon Moore at middle LB and Sanchize at SS

Gonna be a bit hard on old Timmy when he becomes the starting QB in game 3 - special teams and offense - maybe they can find a spot on defense for him also - Free safety??

I figured The Sanchize might try his hand at QB for a change. I mean [i]really[i] try.

I think Joe Theisman was the last, real QB to run back punts. After he got hit a few times, he wasn't as amenable to the idea anymore.

You mean if he can pry himself "away" from Kate Upton?

I can see why he'd be "distracted", shall we say?

The Jets, only too late realizing their fatal mistake, put Tim Tebow in the best possible position to be injured.
