08:06 AM ET 05.10 | Uncertainty, from its coach to its star player, extends to the front office. Adonal Foyle, currently the director of player development with the Orlando Magic, is denying that he has interviewed for the team's general manager position. Otis Smith's hold on the GM post is tenuous -- he said, per the Orlando Sentinel, that he's not even sure he wants to be back next season and that the chances of that happening are 50-50. [Real GM] reports that the Magic interviewed Foyle for the GM position prior to the March 15th trade deadline. But Foyle tweeted, "Let me be abundantly clear I have never been interviewed for a GM job with the Orlando Magic. Further Otis is my friend and mentor and I would never disrespect him in this manner. As Dir. of Player Dev - I have lots of work to do yet."

It might be best for ownership to conduct an organizational house cleaning.

What a mess. Must be black Magic

Chandler, Amare, and Fields for Dwight and Hedo

Blow it up... Howard should start it all by opting out.

It seems that is about all teams do nowadays... talk about blowing it up.

All the more reason the league has to get the players under control. What hope does any mid-tier team have of success if their superstar #1 guy is always on the verge of quitting and moving to a team where he has the chance to win a title?

Free agency needs to be curbed... seriously. These [players need to understand they are not employees... they are property. The league is killing itself slowly but surely by reducing itself to 3 or 4 contenders and 28 farm teams with zero chance at winning anything.

Wow, is there a bigger mess in sports than the Orlando Magic?

So... with a CBA in place and improved (re: harsher Salary Cap penalties) cost certainty, are we any closer to "curbing" free agency?

Teams can't have it both ways. If they don't want to be farm teams they better start handing out the 10 year contracts again and locking up their stars for life.

Yeah I know it is risky, but that is why they make the big bucks.

And it would also help to do some homework before they pick a franchise player.

A lesson learned by the Blazers.

I dont think teams are allowed to sign a player for more than 6 yrs now. And they can do all the Homework they want. if a diva superstar holds them hostage they are screwed

Two words for the Magic: Destroy and Rebuild..

I don't see Dwight staying long term. They are better off trying to get as much as they can for Howard
